SHOTGUN USE: Only lead shot is allowed at the hand trap and the patterning board or anywhere in the trap range. No shot shells are allowed at the steel target ranges or below 25 yards at the paper target range. Slugs are permitted at 25 yards or above at the paper target range or the steel target rifle range. Buck shot, steel shot, dragon breath or any other unusual types of shotgun ammunition are prohibited anywhere on club property.
Our Range Facilities
We have archery, rifle, and pistol shooting ranges that feature target stands at 10, 15, 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards.
Please do not use shotshells on the Rifle / Pistol shooting ranges, we have a shotgun pattering stand set-up between trap houses #2 and #3 for shotgun shotshells.
We have a covered shooting pavilion over the rifle and pistol shooting ranges, 4 trap houses for public trapshooting events, a shotgun patterning stand between trap houses #2 and #3, a commercial grade manual trap between trap houses #3 and #4 and an elevated archery practice platform to mimic shooting from a tree stand along with archery targets at 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yardages.
PLEASE NOTE: Our club requires everyone to be a member of the club before discharging a firearm on club property.
- DAILY HOURS OF OPERATION ARE 8:00 AM TO DUSK.
- EYE AND EAR PROTECTION REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE RANGE.
(THE ASSOCIATION ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE DUE TO MISUSE). - ARMOR PIERCING, STEEL JACKETED, TRACER, EXPLOSIVE, SPENT NUCLEAR OR ANY OTHER NON-LEAD AMMUNITION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- POSITIVELY NO RAPID FIRE SHOOTING ALLOWED.
- SHOOTING RANGES ARE FOR MEMBER USE ONLY (NO GUESTS EXCEPT SUB-JUNIORS) AND/OR OTHER PREARRANGED COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS OR EVENTS (SUB-JUNIOR GUESTS ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 12) MAY DISCHARGE A FIREARM ONLY UNDER ADULT MEMBER SUPERVISION.
- ALL FIRING MUST BE FROM BENCH AREA ONLY INTO PAPER OR CARDBOARD TARGETS MOUNTED ON THE PERMANENT STANDS LOCATED IN YOUR NUMBERED SHOOTING LANE. CROSS FIRING TO OTHER LANES IS PROHIBITED (POSITIVELY NO METAL, GLASS, PLASTIC OR OTHER NON-PAPER TARGETS ALLOWED).
- ALL FIREARMS MUST BE UNLOADED WITH CHAMBERS OPEN AND MUZZLES POINTED DOWN YOUR OWN LANE WHILE ANYONE IS DOWN RANGE IN ANY SHOOTING LANE. NO HANDLING OF FIREARMS WHILE A PERSON IS DOWNRANGE.
- KEEP RANGE FREE OF DEBRIS. PUT ALL TRASH IN PROVIDED BARRELS (RETURN SANDBAGS AND DEPOSIT EMPTY BRASS OR DAMAGED LIVE ROUNDS INTO PROVIDED CONTAINERS).
- TRESPASSERS OR ANY MEMBER INTENTIONALLY DAMAGING ASSOCIATION PROPERTY WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW, AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ALL REPAIRS. PLEASE REPORT ANY UNINTENTIONAL DAMAGE TO THE FACILITIES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, OR TO ANY ASSOCIATION OFFICER. (CONTACT INFORMATION IS IN YOUR CALENDAR) OR PRINT ON THE BACK OF AN APPLICATION LOCATED AT THE RANGE AND PLACE IT IN THE MAIL BOX AT THE CLUB HOUSE.
- PENALTY FOR MISUSE OF THE RANGE MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
- MEMBERSHIP CARDS MUST BE DISPLAYED WHILE USING THE RANGE.
The archery station is located at the east end of the association.
No Broad Head arrows are allowed to be shot into the provided Big Shot target bales. Utility poles are installed to provide support and practice for use of personal tree stands.
As with the regular range, the archery station is available to paid members of the club and their paid guests.
