ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Nominations for election of officers for the 2022-2023 term will occur at the May meeting We encourage our members to volunteer for Association positions.
Redner’s $50 Holiday Gift
Card Raffle Ticket 12/5/2021 Winning numbers are posted at the bottom of the home page on our web site. We awarded 90 gift cards. Thank you everyone for the brisk purchases of those tickets.
Big Game Contests
There currently are no entries for our biggest bear contest for 2021-22.The next bear and deer contests end at 8:00 p.m. on 1/25/2022 and 2/22/2022 respectively. The next longest turkey beard contest ends at the June 28, 2022 regular meeting. Bring your harvests to the club for measurement. All winners now receive a $75 award.
MEMBERSHIP
Renewal postcard reminders are mailed approximately 6 weeks before your expiration date. However, it is your responsibility to know your card’s expiration date and pay the $20 renewal fee before expiration in order to avoid the additional $10 re-join fee. We encourage everyone to pay with credit card on-line.
2022 CHANGES
A few significant changes are coming this year:
(1) we will be posting updated quarterly newsletters on our web site and only mailing one hard copy news-letter per year during July.
(2) we are changing our monthly trap shoots from the first Sunday of the month to the first Saturday of the month, April through Dec. Scheduled league shoots will still be held on Sundays.
(3) we are considering revamping the 250 club raffle tickets. Fewer but higher money prizes are being considered and cost of the tickets may be increased. Forty (40) percent of the tickets remain unsold and the cost of the meal for the blow- outs has increased.
We welcome your comments or suggestions for changes.
While using club facilities we encourage you to take and post photo’s of the enjoyment of shooting and activities at our club. We also post special activities and events on Facebook. This is an easy way for exposure to the Perry Township Game Association. social media.
18th Annual Women On Target®
Perry, along with the NRA Women- On-Target® program and NRA Foundation will again hold two 18th annual non-competitive, instructional clinics in recreational shooting and hunting sports this year on June 18th and September 10th. Entries are limited to 32 participants in each event. The courses include instruction in safe firearms handling, hands-on pistol, rifle, shotgun and archery shooting. To register go to the nra.org web site. Click on Firearms Training, Women’s Programs, Women-On- Target. Then select your preferred date and register. The NRA Foundation provides financial support for the clinics.
2022 BOARD SHOOT
Vince Orth won the 2021 Cabela’s gift card from the drawing at the December 12, 2021 shoot. The next Board shoot is on April 10th. This year one additional shoot will be held June 12, 2022, for a total of seven (7). The other five shoots are May 8th, September 11th, October 9th, November13th and December 11th. Sign-up begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shoots start at 9:00 a.m. You are competing for very nice meat trays from Christman’s in Oley. Splatter boards and strip tickets for meat trays are also sold during those events. For every entry sign-up your name is also entered in a special drawing after the December shoot for a Cabela’s gift card.
