The Berks County Area Friends of the NRA is pleased to announce that our annual fund raising banquet will be held Friday, May 31, 2019. The event will kick off at 5:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 1741 Papermill Road, Wyomissing, Pa. A splendid dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. The banquet is a fun filled evening with many raffles, games, silent and live auctions of Limited Edition NRA firearms, artwork and other valuable merchandise.
For over 25 years the Friends of NRA has been raising funds to support the next generation of firearms enthusiasts and create more opportunities for our fellow citizens to embrace the shooting sports. We hope you will join us as an advocate for the preservation and advancement of our second amendment rights and the shooting sports in Pennsylvania and the United States. The NRA Foundation is uniquely positioned to preserve the culture of responsible gun ownership and expansion of all shooting sports by providing grants and educational opportunities in Pennsylvania and beyond. Half of the funds from this event help support over 180 training, safety, education, and marksmanship programs nationally. The other half of all funds raised support Eastern Pennsylvania Grant Programs, 4-H, Eddie Eagle, Boy Scouts, Jr. Rifle teams, Youth Programs, and other civic minded causes.

The BEST way to support the cause is to attend the banquet and enjoy the company of fellow sportspeople, civic and business leaders, friends, and defenders of freedom. Banquet tickets cost $55 each which includes a sit-down combo dinner of Chicken Romano and Grilled Flat Iron Steak. One complimentary soda or domestic beer is included with each banquet ticket purchase. Deadline for banquet ticket purchases is May 24th. No ticket sales will be available at the door.
We are offering (4) special Gun Table Purchase Options this year (banquet tickets included). Option (A) is a table of 10 (at $2,750) and your choice of ONE of 13 firearms listed on the order form. Option (B) is a table of 10 (at $2,750) and your choice of any TWO of 13 firearms listed on the order form. Option (C) is a table of 10 (at $1,500) and your choice of ONE firearm out of a selection of 13 different firearms listed on the order form. Option (D) is a table of 10 (at $1,500) and your choice of any combination of TWO of a selection of 10 different firearms on the order form. You must register by no later than May 17th to participate in the Gun Table Purchase Option.
Second, please consider becoming an Elite National Sponsor. Refer to the attached flyer for the sponsor levels and merchandise choices. Sponsor levels range from $300 to $12,500.
Third, consider making a 100% tax deductible Underwriting donation of cash OR merchandise. Your cash donation of $75, $100, $150, $200, $350 will list you as an underwriter for one of the unique merchandise items at the banquet. You may also be an exclusive Firearm Underwriter with a donation of $400 (1), $500 (1), $600 (1), $750 (2), or $1,000 (2).
You can sponsor one of our banquet games for a $1,000 donation and have a banner display at the game. Donations for merchandise will be recognized with a placard placed with the merchandise item and you will be listed as a supporter in the banquet program. This is a great way to advertise your support for our mission. Please contact a committee member ASAP to reserve your choice.
Fourth, take a chance on our incredible raffles:
Progressive Gun Raffle Please purchase or sell a few or all 5 of the enclosed special progressive gun raffle tickets by completing and returning the ticket stubs. They only cost $5 each. If you can sell more of these tickets, please contact a committee member and help raise funds for the NRA Foundation. The more we sell, the more guns are added. This raffle will be drawn during the banquet. Alternate cash prizes are available in lieu of a gun with your designation on the raffle stubs.
Sponsors and Underwriting donations will be recognized in the banquet program provided we receive your donation at least two weeks before the banquet (May 17th postmark deadline). In all cases above, except for individual banquet or raffle ticket purchases, the donations minus the value of any goods received are tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
Complete and mail the enclosed form along with ticket stubs and check for the correct amount drawn to the “Berks Friends of NRA” via the enclosed self-addressed return envelope. Tables of 8, 9 or 10 can be reserved. Open seats may be filled by other attendees at tables that have fewer than 8 reserved.
