Hunter Education
Perry conducts one annual hunter safety education course in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The course is generally held the first week in August. In 2009, the course will start on Thursday evening, August 6th, and continues Friday evening and Saturday morning, August 7th and 8th respectively. The course is limited to 55 students. The course is offered to any age group, male or female, except that the student must be a minimum of 11 years of age at the start of the course.
Students must pre-register for our course at the Pa. Game Commission web site: http://www.pgc.state.pa.us Course registration will not be available until February, 2009. Click on Education on the left hand side of their drop down menu and then Hunter Education on the right side of the next drop down screen. Click through the calendar until you arrive at August, 2009 and select our course. Complete the registration form and submit.
You will NOT receive any confirmation from us. Just attend the course at the specified time on August 6th. Students must attend all three sessions in order to qualify for the test and graduate. We ask that you contact us if the student is dropping out before the start of the course so that someone else can fill the opening.
Berks County Friends of the NRA - 2009
The Berks County Area Friends of the NRA banquet will be held on Saturday evening, April 18, 2009, at the Riveredge Restaurant, located at 2017 Bernville Road/Route 183. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with dinner at 7:00 p.m. Live and silent auctions, games and raffles with high quality merchandise. Tickets cost is not yet determined and tickets must be purchased in advance. No ticket sales at the door. Additonal infromation will be posted at this site early in 2009.
This form is to be used to reserve tables of 8 or 10 seats at the banquet. The names and addresses of all in your table group must be provided. This information will remain confidential within the committee and not used for any other purpose. Reserved seating cannot be guaranteed if the form is incomplete. The banquet committee reserves the right to fill any vacant seats with other attendees if you do not have a full table. Print off and mail the completed form as instructed below.

Women-On-Target
Fifth Annual Event during 2009
Perry Township Game Association and the NRA Foundation are proud to sponsor the fifth annual Women-On-Target clinic. The clinic is non-competitive, for females only and is intended for the novice student to learn the basics in safe firearms handling and the shooting sports. Instruction in pistol, rifle and shotgun will be provided. The clinic will be held on Saturday, July 18th, starting at 8:00 a.m. All necessary safety equipment, firearms, ammunition, snacks and lunch will be provided. Please do not pre-register for this event before April 1, 2009.
