Hunter Education
Perry conducts one annual hunter safety education course in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The course is generally held the first week in August. In 2010, the course will start on Thursday evening, August 5th, and continues Friday evening and Saturday morning, August 6th and 7th respectively. The course is limited to 55 students. The course is offered to any age group, male or female, except that the student must be a minimum of 11 years of age at the start of the course.
Students must pre-register for our course at the Pa. Game Commission web site: http://www.pgc.state.pa.us Course registration will NOT be available until March, 2010. Click on Education on the left hand side of their drop down menu and then Hunter Education on the right side of the next drop down screen. Click through the calendar until you arrive at August, 2010 and select our course. Complete the registration form and submit.
You will NOT receive any confirmation from us. Just attend the course at the specified time on August 5th. Students must attend all three sessions in order to qualify for the test and graduate. We ask that you contact us if the student is dropping out before the start of the course so that someone else can fill the opening.

TRAPSHOOTING CLINIC - 2010
With funding from the NRA Foundation, Perry will again be conducting a novice trapshooting clinic during the summer of 2010. The clinic will be scheduled during weeknights and weekends starting in June, 2010 to suit the majority of the students. This will be a six to eight week course and is intended for students who have a genuine interest in shotgun shooting sports but with a minimal skill level. The NRA Foundation funding will be used toward ammunition and targets for the course; but students will be required to provide partial payment toward those items also. Students will be required to provide their own shotgun. We suggest that you bring a 12 gauge trap model type shotgun in either action type for the class. This clinic assumes that you already have basic skills in shotgunning safety, handling and firing; but we will review those items as they relate specifically to trapshooting.
Please complete this pre-registration form. Return to Robert A. Sproesser, Event Coordinator, at 11 Tedway Avenue, Kutztown, Pa. 19530. We will contact you by end of May to determine your availability for scheduling.
